Mike Fumagalli
Mike's late wife, Kirsten, passed away on March 14, 2018 when she was 36 years old, just 27 days after being diagnosed with stage IV neuroendocrine metastatic colon cancer. They have two boys, Gabriel ("Gable"), now age 13, and Maverick, age 6. At the time of Kirsten's death, Gable was 7 years old and in 2nd grade. Maverick was 8 months old.

Mike is an Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning at Glenbard High School District 87 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. In 2022, Mike remarried to Tiffany, who had an 8 year old daughter, Ella. Tiffany is the Director of Special Events for the Clear Ribbon Foundation and Ella has enjoyed her volunteer experiences packing and delivering coolers. Mike and Tiffany enjoy traveling with their kids, movie nights, mini-golf, ice cream and summer nights in their pool.

When speaking about Clear Ribbon Foundation, Mike says:

"Being a young widow is about as lonely of a feeling as you can have. Not only are you without your spouse, but you feel like nobody understands what you're going through. The pace of life doesn't feel sustainable keeping all the plates spinning with kids, school, and activities, not to mention the responsibilities around the house. You feel like you are wandering around in a fog. You can't see more than a few hours in front of you, much less days, weeks, months or years ahead. Trying to explain that to people who don't understand is impossible. And, even then, you usually wish someone could understand just a little bit. That's where we come in. We provide the network everyone wishes they had. We are the people that "get it". When others want to help but don't know what to do, we are privileged to step in. I can't think of a more mission-critical way to serve and love others in the way we've experienced while living out Kirsten's legacy doing it. "
